BUS BAR CONTACT RESISTANCE
BUS BAR CONTACT RESISTANCE
LOGIC DIAGRAM:-
PROCEDURE:-
• We do bus bar contact resistance from “MOM 200A” device.
• First we have to check the MOM & all his accessories, leads, crocodile connectors and check AC power.
• Check the position of circuit breaker at “CLOSE” position; if not then close the breaker as per schematic diagram guidance.
• We have to close breaker for completing the path from one panel to other.
• After closing the breaker we connect both lead as per logic diagram and set the knob at 100amp similarly it start injecting current as per the movement of the knob.
• When we reached 100 amps; we will press button “R” for calculating resistance.
• We perform same order for whole bus bar and calculate one by one each panel.
• The resistance will show on the screen of mom which is approximately double as per factory report.
• Why we receive resistance 2times higher than the factory report? The answer is we checked resistance with all joints including bus bar contact, circuit breaker contact, ct contact etc.
• We do this activity for the betterment of flowing current in bus bar, checking circuit breaker contacts, internal joins of a panel, bus bar joints etc.
• After completing a test of one panel we know that all joints are properly connected and not defected from any where. If any joint are broken, disjoint or faulty then we should have to inform team lead or higher authorities and making NCR for defected piece.
• This activity is based on the principle of Ohms law which is
V=IR
• After calculating resistance we write all readings in format and take print out
